Zzzzzzz
Clara is my bipolar baby. When she's awake she cries and screams if I put her down. Sometimes she spends the entire day screaming her head off while I try to do what housework is manageable. The flip side is that she's an incredible sleeper. Yesterday I nursed her after her afternoon nap, at 5:30. I laid her down at 7:15 for bed and she hasn't nursed since 5:30. She's still asleep! I'm not complaining--I'm perplexed and I'm sore. Each night this last week she has slept longer than the night before.
I think to myself. Is this normal? I don't know. She's only 9 weeks old today. There she is. She's awake. Wow. I'm amazed.

"wow. I'm amazed." Karen I'm amazed that you get to blogging as much as you do! You have one more than me and I've only gotten to blog once since I had Alice. Of course Caleb freaks out when I'm at the computer because he wants a video. So I don't sit here as often. I'd love to see Clara. Clara was one of the top three names we liked for naming Alice. Maybe we can get together soon? You know so Clara can teach Alice how to sleep that long!

About the blogging: the sad truth is that I should be doing more important things with my time, like folding mountains of laundry or something else I put off doing. Mostly I blog after the kids go to bed, in that brief period of time when all parents breath a sigh of relief. However, today Dana and Jane were eating breakfast very quietly and I figured I would make a quick 5-minute entry. It showed though, because I had to go back to it three times to fix errors. Oh well.

The low maintenence side of Clara sounds a lot like your mild, selfless husband. I wonder where all that screaming comes from?
