what not

Just a few tidbits from our week so far...

-"Praise the Lord! He died on the cross to take away our sin. Then he got down and... obey His commands..." (Dana, playing church with Jane, singing an impromptu hymn, with the hearth for a pew)

-"Obey His commands... obey His commands!" (Jane singing along and twirling on the hearth)

-Clara had a peaceful day on Sunday, and by default, so did the rest of us! We actually went to morning and evening church without screaming!!! What a relief.

-Matt turned out the lights all over the house last night and invited me to sit and talk with him, just because he wanted to be with me. Mmmmm.

-Dana (3 1/2) snuggled up to me the other day and told me that he was a baby and he wanted me to hold him like a baby and give him Clara's milk. Yikes! I told him I would hold him like a baby, but Clara's milk was for Clara ONLY!

-Matt had a few promising interviews for a new teaching job. We're really encouraged about this decision. One school in particular seemed eager to have him as well as a great school for him to be a part of. The principal was great and the atmosphere of the school was pretty ideal.

-Dana got his head stuck in his shirt (nothing new).

"Matt turned out the lights all over the house last night and invited me to sit and talk with him, just because he wanted to be with me. Mmmmm."

I'm jealous that
a) the kids were all in bed and you were both still awake
b) you were able to turn out all the lights without one of the kids noticing and screaming, "Are you going to bed now?!?! I want the lights on! I'm scared of the dark! I don't want you to go to bed yet!!!"
c) your husband expresses his affection so well. :)
d) (because it definitely bears repeating) that the kids were all in bed and you were both still awake. Oh, the things we take for granted in our pre-kid lives!

Do your kids have big noggins like mine? We have at least one stuck head a day...they should make clothing for 3TBH(big head). Erin

I'm happy that Matt had some good interviews! Sending blessings your way for a new place and new experiences!

Your kids are sooo funny! Playing church. I think I know an aweful lot of grown-ups that do that too!
