tid bits
-Jane still has the flu. She's stinkin' miserable.
-Clara went to the ER on Wednesday for a fever, but she checked out okay. She doesn't have the flu or any other crazy thing they checked her for. I think they examined every crack and crevice in her body. Poor baby. Amazingly enough, she didn't scream the whole time.
-Whatever I thought was mastitis is on its way out, thankfully. Maybe it was just a clog?
-Matt is off to a class in Atlanta tonight again and he'll be back tomorrow around dinner time. The silver lining is that his mom is getting in tonight. Although I'm a little nervous about the state of my house, I'm glad to have the help.
-Just a plug for Airborne: Matt, Dana, and I have been taking it since Tuesday, and I think that's why we're all feeling so well. We have very mild symptoms similar to Jane's symptoms, but no fever and Dana seems to be feeling great. If he escapes getting an ear infection, I'll be really excited. After two tube surgeries and umpteen trips to the ER, I'm a little worn out with all of the ear infections.
-I just started Clara on the cloth diapers again and it feels good to be saving money again. For anyone sick of spending cash on diapers only to throw them away, check out Motherease.com. They have some great cloth diapers. They're nothing like what our moms used to use. We're using the same set of diapers for Clara that we used for Jane and they're still spotless and odorless. Clara looks like she has a big bootie, but who cares?!

are those cloth diapers really leak-proof?

cloth diapers are great, I always wanted to try motherease, but my hands, oh my hands. I know have permanent dryness due to all the washing. I also believe that in order to enjoy the full cloth diaper experience you need #1 a husband that is willing to help you and #2 a great washer/dryer combo. I used up lots of personal time hanging or drying my dipes. ATL humidity didn't help the drying.
I still have a bunch of Chinese prefolds and will venture to do it again if the need arises, until then I am enjoying using the time to do adult, non-diaper related things like paint and craft.
I think the extra cost gave me back a little of myself. And no, I don't know if we're better off money wise.
Good to hear your kids are doing soooo much better. I will pray God gives you grace and no more trips to the ER. We haven't been yet (Praise God) even after a bottle of Tylenol was swallowed. Made it just under the toxic level. WHEW! Now the dentist, that's another story.

about leaks: I think they're more leak proof than disposable diapers. There are two layers that you put on: the diaper and the cover. Even if a little bit leaked past the diaper, I haven't ever seen it leak past both barriers. Also, the only time my kids have had diaper rash was when I put them in cheap disposable diapers. They've never had trouble with cloth diapers, and Jane even had sensitive skin.
